Overview
An ongoing collection of one off pet portraits. Some were commissioned, some were given as gifts, and some were made purely for the fun of it.
Each portrait starts from a photo of the animal. Some are built as vector artwork in Adobe Illustrator and Affinity Designer, where flat shapes and clean edges do the work. Others are digitally painted in Procreate, where the brushwork can follow the texture of fur.
Colour, background and lettering are chosen for each pet individually, usually taken from the animal's own colouring or from whatever a client has asked for. Some portraits are standalone pieces, while others are created as part of a set, depending on the client.
